The Distillery Winter Village invites visitors into the charm of its pedestrian-only streets and 19th-century architecture during the holiday season: twinkling lights, live music, heated patios, and a crowd that's there for the atmosphere first and the food second.
The brief was to create two food touchpoints that felt native to the Village. Warm, craveable, photographable. Cozy enough for the families browsing at dusk and shareable enough for the evening date-night crowd to post.
As one of Toronto's most-visited holiday festivals, the Distillery Winter Village runs a long seasonal window through November and December, which meant we needed stands built to hold up to multi-week outdoor service while staying on-theme for every visitor photo.
Fresh mini pancakes, then a shimmery Chocoberry bar.
For the first location, Lalu curated a festive menu of mini pancakes made fresh on-site from premium ingredients, a warm, hand-held bite that quickly became a crowd favourite. The stand itself was thoughtfully decorated to enhance the seasonal atmosphere, giving guests a warm, inviting escape in the middle of the Village.
For the second location, Lalu introduced Chocoberry, fresh, juicy strawberries paired with smooth Belgian milk chocolate. The stand was designed as a show-stopping shimmery environment, purpose-built as the backdrop guests wanted to photograph with the treat in hand.
