01 / The brief

Turn a cosmetics launch into a beauty-inspired culinary world.

For the NYX Night Market, NYX envisioned an immersive, beauty-inspired culinary experience that boldly showcased their newest cosmetic innovations, a launch that felt less like a press day and more like a world guests could walk into.

The concept centred on two custom stations that blended culinary creativity with cosmetic artistry: an experiential Slushie Stand where guests selected their lip shade like a slushie flavour, and a cheeky Popcorn Stand built around the "Get Plumped" messaging. The brief called for a refined combination of flavours, colours, textures, and packaging that matched the Night Market aesthetic while staying true to the distinctive identity of the Smushy Lip collection.

As a global cosmetics brand launching a new lip collection, NYX needed a partner who could translate a product launch into a fully branded, highly Instagrammable consumer experience in Toronto: custom food and beverage concepts, custom packaging, and turnkey execution that would carry the Buttermelt and Smushy Lip identities end to end.

02 / The build

Two stations. One edible translation of NYX's shade universe.

Lalu Fun Foods transformed the NYX shade universe into a fully edible, interactive, and highly Instagrammable experience. At the Slushie Stand, guests swatched from chilled, glossy tester domes that captured the "frozen and fierce" theme, then chose from three slushie flavours crafted to match the key shades in the Smushy Lip line, each drink served in our clear sealed cups, so every beverage earned a mini wow moment as it was sealed on site. All cups were custom-branded for a perfectly cohesive presentation.

The Popcorn Stand was the playful counterpoint. Two exclusive blends were developed around NYX's Buttermelt Collection: Pinkcorn, a shimmering pink glitter popcorn tied to Buttermelt Blush, and Fairy Popcorn, a bright, whimsical flavour inspired by the Buttermelt Highlighter, served in branded cones and custom bags printed with lines like "Get Plumped," so the snack itself carried the launch messaging.
